Step 2: Geo Synthetic Construction Cloth

Once the entire area is excavated, we cover it with a fiberglass construction cloth known as "Geo-Synthetic Landscape Cloth". This fiberglass woven cloth separates the dirt from the rock and prevents the two from mixing together. This heavy duty cloth also prevents washout of the more fine gravel and protects against heaving. When the frost does hit the ground, the frost line tends to "Heave" and crack open. Our construction cloth forms a barrier between the dirt and the stone and doesn't allow any stone to fall into any heave points or cracks. A simple step that increases the projects structure and ultimately, the projects longevity.
